Patrick Pope Manassas, VA
Patrick Eugene Pope 75 of Manassas,VA passed away Friday February 6, 2026 after a brave fight with cancer. Patrick was born October 13, 1950 in Campbell, Ohio to Dorothy (Deslitch) and Merle Pope. He graduated West Point Military Academy in 1974. Upon graduation he was a commissioned officer in the Army until 1985. Patrick proudly worked for the government and met his beloved wife while on assignment in Russia.
Patrick was in the simplest and truest sense a good man. He lived a life of quiet strength,
unconditional love, and unwavering loyalty. He was humble, kind, intelligent and genuinely funny. Patrick loved his family and friends. He was loving and supportive.
His home and career were rooted in love and hard work. Patrick was married to the love of his life Natasha for 33 years. Their story began when he traveled to Russia on assignment and asked Natasha on a date. From that moment on they were inseparable and when Patrick returned to the US they flew back and forth to see each other until Patrick romantically proposed. Their love was the kind people admired-full of devotion, laughter and true partnership.
Patrick enjoyed the simple joys of life: traveling, museums, good food, great company, foreign films, reading, the orchestra and coffee and cake at “Mozart’s cafe” just to name a few. He was always a wiz at at Jeapordy and Trivial Pursuit. He taught his daughter’s card games including UNO. He told bedtime stories of fairies and magical lands far away. He loved music from classical orchestra to Jon Bon Jovi.
Patrick is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Natasha; his cherished and adored
daughters Kathleen and Colleen; his niece Dawn Pope and nephew James Pope. Patrick is predeceased by his mother Dorothy, his father Merle and his brothers James and Merle J.R. with whom he shared a special bond.
Patrick will be missed beyond measure, but his love and presence will remain with his loved ones always.
